When you are in the process of creating yourself as a maven in whatever your specialty is, in today's business atmosphere, one of the key things you want to do is meet people and create relationships.
Twitter allows you to do that differently than any other platform and EVERYONE is jumping on board. You DON'T want to be left behind. PLUS I have learned SO MUCH and found some incredible resource people.
Patti Serrano is more active than I and she has found lots of clients there as well as prospects to buy her licensing.
While you have to sift through alot of junk, it sort of like going to a flea market...if you keep your eye out, you'll find the gems!
Hi Lori
Yes I Twitter and yes I have found it beneficial for business. Why? Because people actually do go and see what you are doing in the way of work projects, they comment and they validate what you are doing. They also give quality feedback, suggestions, referrals and recommendations, which is invaluable in growing your business. It's also a fabulous way to introduce new potential customers to your product.
Example, I have a blog, "All Things Women". I have been linking my blog to some of my work projects and the flow of traffic has been awesome because it boosts my stats and gets my brand known in the market place.
Some people may look at Twitter and say what a waste of time, but where else can you have 1600 people connected to you and hearing the message about what you are doing and actively following your progress???
