Another Spring Day
This is a song I wrote when I was leading a band back in the late 90's. We used to perform it as a rock ballad. I have revamped it and given it a more modern feel. Love to know what you ladies think of it.
Enjoy!

Many years ago I wrote this song for my husband. He was struggling with inner demons and this song just seemed to bring peace to his spirit and help him to move forward.
Every time I play this song live people come up to me and tell me how much it ministered to their spirit.
So finally, after many attempts over the years to capture it in a recording, I have achieved my vision. I hope that oneday someone like Guy Sebastian would take this song and take it to the airwaves, that all may be touche…

Was having a bit of a hard time today...loads of things sitting on my shoulder, smacking me in the face and causing deep buried emotions to arise. Just one of those "blow out" days.
So tonight I decided to take action and do some music therapy. I opened up GarageBand and I composed this song "Be Good To Yourself".
I had no set agenda, no idea of wha…

Life's Lessons will be a collection of people's stories of wisdom learned through the school of life, coupled with quotes from the book of Proverbs and a bit of Hayley's wisdom thrown in there. It will be an "aha" moment book that will help people to glean from other's life experiences so that they are prepared for all that life throws at them.
If you would like to contribute one of your stories to the collection, along with a wise statement that encapsulates your experience and a photo (option…

Yesterday I attended a personal development seminar. It was the usual stuff...DISC personality types, vision statements, blind walks, discovering your purpose and passion etc. There was the usual hype - what do we want? Success...Whose success? Mine...What will we give? 200% Yes! There was dancing and team chanting, questions and answers, video clips and the opportunity to name your fear and smash through a piece of board with your bare hands.
By the time the board came around, everyone was on…

I've just launched my new photographic gallery.
http://thefocusshop.com
It is my collection of photos taken over the past 12 months or so...people, places, animals, beaches, nature. All tell a story.
I was really encouraged to put them up for the world to enjoy, so I hope you like them. Pop over and take a peak.

Yesterday I went for a walk with five girls from Adventurous Women. We walked from Hillarys Boat Harbour to Burns Beach, then had breakfast at the cafe.
Having not done anything like this since I was a young woman, it was a bit of a marathon taking us 2.5 hours! We didn't dawdle either, we went flat out, with…

As most of you know, I have started the
Commando Kick Butt Challenge. It's now four weeks in and I've been increasing the amount of exercise I do every week. It's now become so much a part of my thinking that I am craving my training sessions. Each session is an opportunity for me to prove to myself that I can do this and an opportunity to lose inches gained by a decade of child rearing.
There is something mysterious that happens when…

Today I started a brand new profile in Twitter. Why? Because my previous profile contained a misspelled word and after having troubles with people finding me, I decided to take action. It also gave me a chance to adopt a more strategic corporate image for my twitter profile.
This is where the interesting part comes in...
Over the past 3 months I have been on Twitter and my strategy was to avoid just signing up with anyone. I had about 110 followers and I was following about 130 people.
So, fe…

Well, following the invitation from Deb to share all, I have finally stopped for two minutes to catch up with friends on Ning.com after a VERY successful women's forum here in Perth.
Firstly, the format for the day was to provide a platform for women to be inspired. So we had 9 guest speakers who shared for 5 minutes each about what their passion is and how they are currenlty pursuing that passion. It was an inspirational time of hearing how women were stepping out of the known into the unknown…

Well our first Women Speak Out Forum transpired with a few technical hitches that had to be righted. Deb very graciously opened the teleseminar for me and kept everything flowing. Sharing their passions were Patti Cerano, Debbie Ducic, Joanie Winberg, Sue Hile and Hayley Solich.
The inspirational thing about hearing women share their passions is that you can't help but acknowledge how different and unique we are and yet how much the same we are. Unique in that we have different passions but the…

Hi Ladies
I'm just doing a little research into women's attitudes towards real shopping and online shopping and I have a few questions that should only take you a couple of minutes to answer but will help me greatly to shape my next project. Please simply write the number and your response.
Real Shopping - Desirable or not?
1. I prefer to go to a real shopping centre where I can see and touch things. Agree/Disagree/Doesn't matter
2. Knowing what clothes would look like on my body without hav…

I am just astounded by the number of women that have contacted me following the article that was published in the local newspaper who are just plain lonely and friendless.
It is an indictment on our communities that women should be isolated and suffering from loneliness.
It just amazes me that I can get to 42 years of age and not realise that I am surrounded by women in this type of pain and oblivious, despite the fact that I have suffered it myself.
I plan to do something about it through Wo…
